Mr J.J. van Zyl, the promoter of the project, is looking for a Joint Venture partner with the financial resources to supply the financing requirements of the project and the ability to function as an operating partner for the implementation of the project.
A partner is required to finance the basic research phases. Such a partner will be entitled to participation in any of the subsequent phases on the same basis as the promoter.
At present the project enjoys the full support of the Namibian Government and The Industrial Development Corporation of South Africa (IDC), while Textek (a division of the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research of Southern Africa) and the Namibian Botanical Institute (NBI) are also supportive.
